Ring 01295 380724. A licensed carrier reaches you anywhere in New Quay — house, farm, yard, marina or workshop — lifts the fuel from tank, bowser or cans, and documents it with a transfer note on the spot. Typically 30-60 minutes on site, quoted per litre or per job, frequently same day. Old red diesel is hazardous waste, so it leaves under licence and with paperwork — not down a drain, onto the ground or into a bin. Clearing the stock and cleaning the tank together is what makes it fit for reuse. Where a tank has to hold road diesel next, we remove the red diesel and can clean the vessel so residual dye does not contaminate the new fuel. Otherwise a fuel test could still show red long after the switch. What a collection involves is simple: attend, pump out the red diesel, inspect the empty vessel, and carry it away for you — all covered by the transfer note issued before the carrier leaves. For collection in New Quay the carrier comes to the fuel rather than the other way round. With the litres and access confirmed, the visit is quick, the vessel is left checked, and the transfer note is your proof it was lifted properly. ## Local Welsh red diesel collector in New Quay: the facts Fuel | Red diesel | Service | Collection and removal | Council area | Ceredigion | Postcode districts | SA45 | Why it degrades | Ages like diesel, plus a legal marker dye that stains tanks | Typical sources | Farms, plant, generators, bowsers, decommissioned tanks, closing businesses | Classification | Hazardous waste — waste transfer note issued | Regulator | Natural Resources Wales | Typical cost | Quoted per litre or per job | Attendance | Booked collection, often same day | Helpline | 01295 380724 | ## Where red diesel comes from around New Quay Across New Quay and its surroundings we collect red diesel from plant-hire fleets rationalising fuel stores, and quarry or forestry sites winding down. A registered carrier attends home, farm, depot, marina and commercial sites, pumps out the red diesel and issues a waste transfer note on site. **Why cannot I just use up my red diesel?** Since the 2022 reform most sectors outside agriculture lost the entitlement to use rebated red diesel. Using it outside the permitted cases is an offence, so surplus stock is best removed and disposed of properly. **Does the red dye matter for disposal?** The dye marks the fuel as rebated and lingers in a tank. For disposal it is handled as hazardous waste like any diesel, but the documentation matters for HMRC as well as the regulator. **Can you clear a tank so it is dye-free?** We remove the red diesel and can clean the tank so it is fit to hold road diesel again. Any residual dye is dealt with as part of the tank clean. **Will I get paperwork for HMRC?** You get a waste transfer note recording what was collected and where it went. That is your evidence of compliant disposal for both HMRC and the regulator. ### Other sites in this network Fuel Fixer Wales is part of Stockbridge Capital Holdings › Fuel Fixer International › Fuel Fixer Ltd.
