Local Welsh heating oil disposal in Pontcanna Cardiff
heating oil disposal in Pontcanna Cardiff starts with a phone call to 01295 380724. We send a registered waste carrier to the tank, store, drums or cans wherever they sit in Pontcanna Cardiff, pump the fuel out, check the vessel and issue the transfer note there and then — usually 30-60 minutes on site, quoted per litre or per job.
This is hazardous waste in law, which is why it is pumped out, carried under a registered carrier and disposed of properly rather than tipped or left.

About heating oil disposal in Pontcanna Cardiff
Whether it is kerosene or gas oil, heating oil left standing degrades and contaminates, and a failing or redundant tank has to be cleared before it leaks or is removed. Because it is hazardous waste, a registered carrier handles it.
Once collected, heating oil and its sludge go to a permitted facility for recovery or disposal, documented on a transfer note that is your duty-of-care record.
Disposal closes the loop: the collected heating oil reaches a permitted facility, is processed or destroyed lawfully, and the transfer note issued on site is your proof it was done right.
The compliance value of proper disposal is the record. The fuel leaves Pontcanna Cardiff for a permitted facility, and the transfer note captures the movement — the difference between disposed of and merely gone.

Common questions
Do you dispose of heating oil in Pontcanna Cardiff?
Yes — across Pontcanna Cardiff and the rest of Cardiff. A registered carrier attends home, farm, depot, marina and commercial sites, pumps out the heating oil and issues a waste transfer note on site.
Is heating oil hazardous waste?
Yes. It cannot be tipped away, drained or left in a redundant tank. A registered carrier removes it and disposes of it through a permitted facility with a transfer note.
Can you help with a leaking or rusted tank?
We pump out the oil and sludge so a failing tank can be dealt with safely, and can advise on cleaning and decommissioning. Describe the tank when you call.
Do you cover commercial as well as domestic tanks?
Yes — house tanks, bunded commercial stores and farm tanks alike, quoted per litre against the volume and access.
How soon can it be collected?
Often quickly for accessible sites; the window is confirmed with the quote before travel. A leak is treated as more urgent.
