The operator confirms the vehicle, the fuels involved, whether the engine was started and your location, then quotes a price. Nothing is charged and no technician travels until you accept that price. Because the work is carried out at the roadside, on a forecourt, at your home or at your workplace rather than in a garage, the technician needs safe, legal access to the vehicle and the keys. If the vehicle sits on private land, the landowner’s permission is your responsibility. For island and remote upland jobs the arrival window is given as a sailing or a travel time and the quoted price already includes that travel. ## What is included in the price The quoted price covers attendance, the drain of the contaminated fuel, a flush of the fuel lines, a nominal amount of clean fuel to get the vehicle running, a start-and-check, and the removal of the contaminated fuel for compliant disposal. Fuel-system parts, filters, injectors and any recovery to a garage are quoted separately if the vehicle was driven far enough to need them. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, plant, agricultural machinery and boats are quoted per job. ## Waste fuel and the environment The fuel drained from your vehicle or uplifted from your tank is a controlled waste. In Wales this is regulated by ([Natural Resources Wales](https://naturalresources.wales/)) rather than the Environment Agency. The waste leaves the site with the technician, a waste transfer note is issued on site, and the fuel is processed for recycling through licensed channels. Duty-of-care documentation is available on request. Fuel Fixer Ltd operates to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and holds waste-carrier registration. ## Data we hold To attend a job we take your name, phone number, location and vehicle details, and we keep a record of the work carried out. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Analytics on this site are collected through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 in aggregate. You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by calling 01295 380724 or writing to the registered office above; the full detail is in the Fuel Fixer privacy policy. ## Common questions **Who am I contracting with when I call 01295 380724?** Fuel Fixer Wales is the Welsh arm of Fuel Fixer Ltd, registered at Fairway House, Portland Road, East Grinstead, RH19 4ET, company number 08520551.
